City of Smiles, Philippines - Bacolod isn't called the City of Smiles for nothing, as Bacolodnons are known for being warm and friendly. Get a full dose of it from the Masskara festival, a celebration of the people, faces, and tradition of the smiling city of Bacolod, spreading the smiles all over the world.

Fly out to Bacolod City and catch one of the most awaited festivals in Philippines scheduled third weekend of October 16, 17, 18 of October, 2015! Expect a big MassKara celebration in 2015 which will include an International Night showcasing different nationalities like Indians, Koreans, Japanese, American, German, Indonesians and Malaysians who usually come to Bacolod to join the MassKara Festival celebration. Also, the Electric MassKara competition, a street dancing competition but dancers wore masks with colorful lights at night, will be spread in two days as confirmed by City Mayor Monico Puentevella.

Considered as one of the liveliest and most colorful festivals in the Philippines, the Masskara festival is not all about the eclectic costumes, vibrant colors and parades, but above all, the people's charming smiles and the good vibes overloading the city - a testament to the strength of the Filipino people who manage to put on a smile even during the greatest of adversities.
